Student Support System (SSS)
The goal of the Student Support System (SSS) is to identify and effectively intervene with students who are exhibiting at-risk behaviors by providing strategies, support, and resources to improve course success and overall retention of students.
Faculty and Staff Referrals
Faculty and staff can submit a referral for a student. However, the processes and settings are different for faculty versus staff. Please select below if you are staff or faculty to learn more about submitting a Student Support System (SSS) referral.
Responding to Urgent Situations
If a student discloses suicidal ideation, attempted suicide, or any negative patterns of behavior that could also harm others, please follow the Responding to urgent situations (PDF) protocol. Do not submit an SSS referral.
Automated Attendance Notifications
To better support students and streamline communications, we’ve introduced Automated Attendance Notifications. These notifications send students timely email updates based on attendance submissions in Self-Service, with a text message option for additional support starting Fall 2024.
