SoftChalk

SoftChalk is Delta College's leading software intended to create and house Open Educational Resources (OER). SoftChalk Cloud is a fast, easy, and flexible way to create, manage, and share digital curriculum. You can create textbooks, lessons or activities and easily import it into our LMS.

Faculty and staff can create books, lessons, activities or other items and collaborate with other Delta faculty.  Everything created in SoftChalk can be made available to Delta users or even outside users.

The OER Committee has a contract with SoftChalk to provide this service.

Frequently asked questions

What if I already have a SoftChalk account through Delta?
Your account has been rolled into the institutional account, so you can login with your regular SoftChalk username and password.
 
How do faculty/staff get a SoftChalk account?
Submit a request <link> and the activation code will be sent to your Delta email.  This activation code should not be shared with others.
 
I have an account – now how do I get started?
SoftChalk has free training opportunities and user guides available to you. 
 
Is there anyone on campus who can help me?
The Delta College Library's OER guide includes a list of faculty/staff who can help.
 
How do I get help getting my material into D2L?
